Angela’s ‘Green Power Potion’ Smoothie 🌱

At Cinch, we believe in harnessing nature’s goodness in every possible way – And lately, that’s meant embracing smoothies & juicing as part of our daily ritual.

It all began when one of our Cinchers came home from a juice retreat feeling transformed, and she generously shared her story. Inspired, we dove into the research around juices and smoothies. In July, we committed to giving it a real go—and now, three months in, we’re hooked. I feel alive, energised, and full of goodness.

Every morning, I open my eating window with a smoothie. My aim is roughly 80% vegetables, 20% fruit, plus “super-nutrition” powders. Wherever possible, I try to use organic—because this world is toxic enough without unintentionally adding pesticide load.

I also make sure to pack in plenty of protein and fibre so that I feel satisfied longer, stay energised throughout the day, and support healthy digestion. Studies show that combining protein + fibre in smoothies helps with fullness & stable blood sugar.

🥤 Recipe: Green Power Potion (Swap in what you have—flexibility is part of the fun!)

  • Frozen berries — rich in antioxidants like anthocyanins, vitamin C, fiber; they help protect cells, support heart & brain health, improve insulin response & slow ageing. Healthline+2American Institute for Cancer Research+2
  • ½ banana — provides natural sweetness along with potassium, vitamin B6 & fiber; good for energy, nerve and muscle function.
  • Kiwi — very high in vitamin C, fiber & antioxidants; supports digestion, immune system, and skin health.
  • Kale — one of the nutrient-dense leafy greens; high in vitamins A, C & K, calcium & antioxidants; supports detoxification, bone health, inflammation reduction & immune response. Hurom
  • Cucumber (2-3 slices) — mostly water, hydrating; contains some vitamins & minerals; good for hydration, gentle detox, cooling the body, mild support to digestion.
  • Splash of lemon juice — high in vitamin C, adds a fresh flavour; helps boost immunity, supports absorption of non-heme iron, alkalises, and aids digestion.

Powder Boosters:

  • 1 tsp spirulina – a complete protein source, rich in antioxidants, & anti-inflammatory benefits
  • ½ tsp turmeric – powerful anti-inflammatory & antioxidant properties, supporting immune health
  • 1 tsp flaxseeds + 2 TBSP chia, soaked in ¾ pint of water – great for omega-3s, fibre, gut health & sustained energy
  • Mushroom powder mix (SoulBrew Rise): Lion’s Mane, Cordyceps, Chaga, Maca, Ashwagandha & Cacao — for brain clarity, calm energy, adaptogenic support

Blend well, sip slowly (take the same time as you would if this was a meal, remember this is food!), and enjoy the ritual. Smoother mornings, happier gut days, steadier energy, and a sense that you’re fuelling your body with what it really needs.
